很多同学写句子,都是主语开头,比如“He walked into the room.”

Original: He walked into the room.
Advanced: Anxiously, he walked into the room, wondering what awaited him.
Advanced: Reluctantly, he stepped into the dimly lit corridor, his heart pounding.

Original: She opened the letter.
Advanced: With trembling hands, she opened the letter, her eyes scanning for any clue.
Advanced: Lost in thought, he almost missed his stop.

描述人物做某事时的动作细节(with a sigh, with a heavy heart)。

    • Original: He turned around. He saw a shadowy figure.
    • Advanced: Turning around, he saw a shadowy figure standing in the corner.

    • Original: She worried about her exam. She couldn’t sleep.
    • Advanced: Worrying about her upcoming exam, she tossed and turned all night.

“worrying about her upcoming exam”是主句“she tossed and turned”的原因。

    • Original: He was shocked by the news. He couldn’t say a word.
    • Advanced: Shocked by the unexpected news, he found himself unable to utter a single word.

    “shocked by the unexpected news”描述了主语“he”的状态和原因。

    • Original: She finished her homework. She went to bed.
    • Advanced: Having finished her homework, she finally allowed herself to relax and went to bed.

    • Original: Mr. Smith is our teacher. He is kind.
    • Advanced: Mr. Smith, a kind and patient teacher, always encouraged us to ask questions.

    “a kind and patient teacher”就是Mr.

    • Original: The old house was her home. It stood on a hill.
    • Advanced: The old house, a relic from her childhood, stood silently on the hill.

    “a relic from her childhood”给“the old house”赋予了更深的含义。

    • Original: She heard the news. The news made her sad. Her brother failed.
    • Advanced: The news that her brother had failed his exam filled her with a deep sense of disappointment.

“that her brother had failed his exam”解释了“news”的具体内容。

    • Original: He held a belief. The belief was that everything would be fine.
    • Advanced: He clung to the belief that somehow, everything would eventually work out.

  • 否定词开头的倒装: 当 hardly, scarcely, never, little, seldom, no sooner…than, not until…that 等否定词或否定意义的词放在句首时,句子要部分倒装(助动词、情态动词、be动词提到主语前)。

    • Original: He had hardly arrived when the phone rang.
    • Advanced: Hardly had he arrived when the phone rang, startling him.

    • Original: She didn’t know the truth until much later.

    • Advanced: Not until much later did she realize the full extent of the deception.

    • Original: He was so nervous that he couldn’t speak.
    • Advanced: So nervous was he that he found himself unable to utter a single coherent word.

    • Original: The situation was so dangerous that they had to leave.

    • Advanced: So dangerous was the situation that they had no choice but to evacuate immediately.

    • Original: An old house stood on the hill.
    • Advanced: On the top of the hill stood an old, abandoned house, its windows like hollow eyes.

    • Original: A strange creature emerged from the shadows.

    • Advanced: From the depths of the forest emerged a strange, unfamiliar creature, its eyes glowing in the dark.

5. 强调句 (It is/was…that…),突出你最想表达的信息

强调句的结构是 “It is/was + 被强调部分 + that/who + 其他部分”。

    • Original: John broke the window.
    • Advanced: It was John who broke the window, not Peter.

    • Original: I met her yesterday.
    • Advanced: It was her that I met yesterday, not someone else.

    • Original: He came here last night.
    • Advanced: It was last night that he came here, not this morning.

    • Original: We found the key under the bed.
    • Advanced: It was under the bed that we found the key, not on the table.

    • Original: The decision was correct.
    • Advanced: The decision, in my opinion, was not only correct but also timely.

    • Original: He hesitated.

    • Advanced: He hesitated, as anyone would in such a situation, before making his final choice.

    • Original: The girl laughed. She was happy.
    • Advanced: The girl, her eyes sparkling with joy, laughed heartily.

    • Original: The meeting was cancelled. This surprised everyone.

    • Advanced: The meeting was cancelled, much to everyone’s surprise, due to unforeseen circumstances.

She was sad. She cried.
  • 进阶版 (加副词开头): Deeply saddened, she burst into tears, unable to hold back her emotions any longer.
  • 高级版 (加分词短语和同位语): Overwhelmed by a wave of sorrow, she, a girl usually composed and strong, buried her face in her hands, silent tears streaming down her cheeks.
